Job Description:
The Railroad Commission of Texas seeks an experienced Mainframe Top Secret Security Administrator to provide senior-level systems administration and security expertise for mainframe environments. Responsibilities include managing Top Secret Security (TSS) z/OS administration certificate renewals access control compliance and performance monitoring. The role involves supporting mainframe operations in the States Consolidated Data Center Services (DCS) and collaborating with network customer support and application teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as SME for Mainframe Top Secret Security Administration and z/OS systems.
- Configure and maintain mainframe security user accounts and compliance controls.
- Perform routine system administration security monitoring and performance analysis.
- Support mainframe job scheduling production control and ISV products (e.g. BlueZone).
- Troubleshoot platform/software issues and conduct root cause analysis.
Minimum Requirements:
- 8 years hands-on experience with TSS (Top Secret Security).
- 5 years experience with z/OS Administration.
- 5 years experience with JES2 OMVS SMS.
- 3 years experience with TLS configuration (certificates SSL RSA Keys SFTP FTPS).
Preferred Skills:
- Performance monitoring and analysis.
- Informatica Power Exchange Administration.
- Working knowledge of:
- z/OS Operation & Networking (VTAM TCP/IP)
- JOBTRAC BlueZone VTAM/SWITCH
- SMP/E RMF SMF WLM
- JCL GRS VSAM TSO
- REXX scripting experience.
