- Answer inbound telephone calls related to individual and business tax compliance delinquency and general information requests in a fast-paced call center environment.
- Resolve Tier 1 level customer issues and provide accurate information.
- Review taxpayer accounts verify gather and update customer information simultaneously.
- Educate taxpayers about online resources and current tax policies.
- Submit requests for payment arrangements as needed.
- Accurately document actions taken in multiple systems.
- Meet established performance expectations and participate in team engagement activities.
- Utilize basic math skills (addition subtraction multiplication division) in daily tasks.
- Communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing.
- Multitask efficiently and stay organized in a high-volume work setting.
- Use basic Microsoft Word Excel and Google Workspace tools.
- Maintain a positive service-oriented attitude and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience: Minimum one year of recent call center experience in a fast-paced environment preferably in finance/banking insurance or telecommunications (not switchboard/dispatch).
- Spanish-speaking skills preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or higher preferred.
- Must reside within 1 hour of Phoenix or Tucson and attend first-day onsite orientation.
- Flexible schedule required within business hours (7:45am-5:15pm Mon-Fri); intensive 3-week training (8:30am-5pm) with critical attendance.
- Fully remote after orientation; must have hardwired internet and ability to transport equipment (not via public transportation).
- Must pass pre-employment checks (background fingerprinting tax filing records).
- Temporary position (estimated 6 months possible extension); potential for permanent employment based on performance.
- R2R and cover letter required for application.
