Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
Concrete Production: Assist in the preparation pouring and finishing of concrete for large commercial projects including floors walls and foundations.
Mixing & Pouring: Assist with the mixing of concrete ingredients to ensure proper consistency and pour ability following project specifications.
Surface Preparation: Smooth and level freshly poured concrete preparing surfaces for additional treatments including polishing or stamping.
Tool Operation: Use hand tools (trowels floats edgers) and power tools (power trowels grinders) to achieve desired finishes.
Material Handling: Transport and organize materials to the job site ensuring that all necessary supplies are available.
Teamwork: Collaborate with other workers including finishers foremen and laborers to ensure smooth project workflow and on-time completion.
Quality Assurance: Assist in inspecting finished concrete surfaces for defects or imperfections and make necessary adjustments.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Requirements
Experience: Previous experience in concrete work or construction is preferred but not required; we will train the right candidate.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) stand for long periods and work in various weather.
Attention to Detail: Ability to perform quality checks on the concrete surface and ensure that finishes meet required specifications.
Team Player: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members.
Safety Awareness: Must adhere to safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective gear.
High School Diploma or Equivalent: Preferred but not required.
