The role

Based at our distribution hub inSouth ElmsallWest Yorkshire our logistics operation is huge spanning 11 million square feet of warehouse space. To keep things moving efficiently and cost-effectively we rely on clear purposeful data.

We have an opportunity for a knowledgeable Data Analyst to join our team in South Elmsall. Youll be the bridge between what the business needs and how it gets delivered ensuring our customers have a seamless experience.

What youll take on

You will join a dynamic team providing vital analytical support across our logistics operations and beyond.

  • Reporting & Innovation: Develop a suite of live reporting to enhance output and use new tools to take our analytics to the next level.

  • Insightful Visualisation: Create and maintain dashboards and reports that provide stakeholders with clear insights from a vast array of data sources.

  • Strategic Support: Provide detailed analysis for project appraisals and support the implementation of our 3rd Party (Total Platform) clients.

  • Problem Solving: Design data analyses to uncover patterns and trends identifying opportunities to improve our service levels.

  • Operational Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define business objectives and report on daily and weekly KPIs to support warehouse performance.

What youll bring

Essential Criteria:

  • Technical Proficiency: You are skilled in SQL or Python for extracting and transforming data.

  • Visualisation Skills: You have strong experience using tools like Tableau or Power BI to make data easy to understand.

  • Communication: You can translate complex data into clear succinct findings that answer the so what for your stakeholders.

  • Attention to Detail: You have a sharp eye for detail while never losing sight of the bigger picture.

  • Analytical Drive: You are interested in how a business works and have a genuine desire to help us improve our performance.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Innovation: Some experience with ML/AI is preferred but not essential.

  • Industry Awareness: You stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data analytics.
