Senior Project Manager – Outcome Delivery Incentive ODI

About the role

As a Senior Project Manager you will be responsible to lead large-scale programs that shape the future of water services. This role will be working on Sydney Waters Optimising Digital Infrastructure program. This program will deliver a Hybrid Cloud infrastructure hosting solution replacing and consolidating our existing data centres.

On this program you will be responsible for leading multiple streams associated with establishment of the new data centres and the migration of applications and services.

In this role you will:

• Assign and monitor work while mentoring and coaching Project Managers in applying Sydney Waters delivery frameworks including Prince2 the Digital Delivery Platform (DDP) and supporting business processes
• Build and manage high-performing virtual teams of 30 professionals across multiple projects.
• Ensure clarity of roles for all team members from SMEs to vendors and project boards.
• Drive delivery of quality fit-for-purpose solutions aligned to corporate standards.
• Oversee business case preparation approvals and financial management (budgets & forecasting).
• Integrate projects into the broader Digital portfolio ensuring alignment to benefits scope schedule and budget.
• Champion Sydney Waters cultural values (Blue Bus & Signature Behaviours).

Experience and Qualifications:

• A degree in technology or related sphere.
• 10 years experience successfully project managing technology projects.
• Experience with large Data Centre migration programs including application relocations and associated organisational change management.
• Additional training and qualification in project management (Prince2 Certification).
• Proven experience managing large programs and multiple projects in parallel.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Expertise in project governance financials and resource management.
• Ability to build collaborative high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills

Essential Requirements

• You must be an Australian Citizen at the time of submitting your application to be considered for this role.
• Applicants will also be required to undertake AGSVA Baseline security clearance.

• Flexibility to travel across Sydney Water sites as required.
