HiClimb is seeking an experienced passionate Youth Team Head Coach to lead our growing youth climbing programs. This leadership role oversees all youth development levelsfrom first-time youth climbers to advanced performance athleteswithin a supportive non-competitive program with an optional annual competition opportunity.
About HiClimb
HiClimb opened in Honolulu Hawaii on July 1 2021. Our 14000-square-foot facility features over 8000 square feet of climbing terrain including:
- Bouldering
- Top-rope climbing
- Auto belays
- Lead climbing
We also offer our members and guests a weightlifting area yoga and fitness classes a café and co-working spaces. HiClimb is a community-focused organization dedicated to connection growth and wellness.

About the Role
The Youth Team Head Coach provides instructional leadership Team Member supervision and Risk Management oversight for HiClimbs youth programs:
- Keiki Club (Ages 710)
- Rec Club (Ages 1114)
- Junior Performance (Ages 912)
- Youth Performance (Ages 1218)
You will collaborate closely with the Program Coordinator/Manager mentor Team Members communicate with families and ensure all programming aligns with USA Climbing standards and HiClimbs Best Practices.

Junior Performance
Youth Performance

Attendance at all Youth Program Times required
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop all youth training programs
- Coach youth climbers across all levels
- Supervise and mentor youth Team Members
- Enforce HiClimb Risk Management policies
- Maintain USA Climbing compliance (SafeSport background checks team standards)
- Communicate with parents/guardians setting team and gym leadership
- Oversee optional annual competition participation
Required Qualifications
- USA Climbing Level 2 Coach Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Current USAC SafeSport certification & background clearance
- Youth coaching experience (climbing or comparable sport)
- Strong Risk Management and supervision skills
- Excellent communication and leadership ability
- Availability for evenings Saturdays and all program times
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of youth program leadership experience
- Performance-level youth coaching experience
- First Aid / CPR / AED certification
- Experience coordinating youth trips events or competitions
