POSITION: HEAD START PROGRAM PRESCHOOL TEACHER ASSISTANT
LOCATIONS:
- Colonel Zubkoff Center 55 NW 199th Street Miami Fl. 33169
When: Daytime Monday thru Friday 40 hours per week hours are 7:30am to 4:00pm
Hourly Rate of Pay: $17.91 per hour
*FCCPC BirthFive or CDA Preschool certification required or an Associate in Early Childhood
Responsible for assisting Head Start classroom teachers in the care and development of children enrolled in an early childhood education center as well as maintenance of the classroom. Hours vary based on an as-needed basis.
Assists in planning and teaching activities within the YWCAs developmentally appropriate framework to encourage the advancement of childrens cognitive social/emotional physical and creative skills.

Requirements (describe the educational and skill requirements):
High diploma or GED required CDA/FCCPC childcare certification required. Associates in Early Childhood Education a definite plus.
One or two years of experience working with preschool children in a child care facility preferred preferably in a Head Start program. DCF Child Care 45 hour childcare training in addition to VPK courses and 15 hours of continuing education each year thereafter; however the YWCA reserves the right to increase hours of training annually. Red Cross First Aid certificate; certificate of good health and completed TB test. Required to have fingerprint and background check level 2 and drug test.
FCCPC Birth Five or CDA certification in Pre-school required
( 45 hr. training certificates required;
