What you will be doing

You will work closely with partners and (senior) colleagues from the Amsterdam office specializing in industrials and chemicals contributing to high-impact projects at the intersection of circular chemistry and sustainable materials. You will mainly be working in international teams where combining strengths and resources is essential. From reimagining reuse to advancing green fuels we support clients across the chemical and industrial sectors in adapting to a more sustainable future.

Spanning the full shift from linear to circular business models including chemicals plastics minerals & brine water battery materials biobased materials and food ingredients we drive transformation by challenging the status quo technology creation and fostering innovation.

Our team brings deep sector knowledge and a pragmatic approach to help clients navigate complex challenges and seize opportunities. At Roland Berger we differentiate ourselves by listening carefully to our clients and working intensively with them on tailor-made solutions.

On your first day you can already have a real impact since you will be working with clients from all over an organization and often will report to senior management. As a Senior Consultant at Roland Berger you will:

• Take the lead for modules in larger projects and complete project management of smaller projects (typically leading three to five consultants).
• Coach and develop the consultants in your project teams. 
• Work closely with industry experts at Roland Berger. 
• Contribute to Roland Bergers knowledge development by capturing insights and drawing lessons from client work. 
• Participate in office-wide projects (e.g. in-depth studies on current topics) that further develop Roland Berger or its thinking in a specific area or sector.

Our requirements

• You have completed an academic university education (i.e. WO).
• You have between four and seven years of experience in strategy and/or management consulting or in strategic and/or operational roles at a large company or in the public sector. Having prior involvement in circular chemistry and materials is a requirement.
• You have technical affinity and commercial insight.
• You can think analytically and structure arguments clearly.
• You work with precision.
• You are open-minded.
• You have experience managing others and delegating work to more junior team members.
• You are familiar with/experienced in (financial) modeling (Excel) visualizing presentations (PowerPoint) and storytelling.
• You have good oral written and presentation skills and an excellent command of the English language.
