We are currently looking for a Structural Engineer who will support our growing Buildings group. This is a hybrid role that could be based out of either our Bowmanville office or Mississauga offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analysis of structural components for building projects.
- Prepare structural drawings specifications and technical reports.
- Work with the buildings team in the preparation of project documentation proposals and construction schedules.
- Conduct site visits and assist with inspections to ensure structural integrity and adherence to design drawings and specifications. Prepare site visit reports to track construction progress and deficiencies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and evaluate project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with all local building codes regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering preferably in the building sector.
- License Professional Engineer (.) from PEO. Candidates who are in the process of obtaining their . license or are nearing completion of the requirements may also be considered.
- Knowledge of structural analysis software and design tools (e.g. SAP2000 or similar).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle (for site visits as required).
- Experience in aviation defence or federal industries are assets
