The Governance Manager is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Governance Team. This includes undertaking research investigation analysis advising and reporting on matters relating to corporate governance. The role also involves providing administrative support and professional advice to Councillors and staff supervising business paper preparation and minute taking compiling submissions for Council and supporting the Governance Manager in leadership and coordination of departmental outcomes
The role is particularly exciting as it is at the heart of Council decision making and interacts regularly with senior staff and elected officials. The position impacts the City and organisation by ensuring transparent accountable and effective governance practices supporting informed decision-making and enhancing the reputation and performance of Council.
