About The Role

As a Governance Officer youll play a key role in ensuring our research meets national and international standards. Youll work closely with researchers and leadership teams to strengthen compliance streamline governance processes and promote research integrity. This is your chance to make a real impact on the future of health and medical research.

What Youll Do

  • Ensure compliance with national and state-based laws institutional policies and frameworks such as the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research and the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research.
  • Provide advice and training to researchers and staff on governance requirements and best practices.
  • Develop and improve governance policies systems and processes to support research excellence.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline workflows and establish integrated governance systems.
  • Support research integrity initiatives and assist with investigations of alleged misconduct.
  • Prepare reports and briefings for Executive and governance committees.
  • Maintain awareness of evolving regulatory requirements and implement changes into practice.

About You

  • Degree qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in research governance ethics administration clinical trials coordination or compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of governance frameworks and continuous improvement practices.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain attention to detail..
