Position Summary: The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up operating and maintaining CNC machinery to ensure efficient and accurate production within our facility. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. The ideal candidate demonstrates problem-solving skills a commitment to safety and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines according to production specifications.
- Load raw materials and ensure proper machine calibration and tool selection.
- Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and work orders.
- Monitor machine operations to identify any issues or deviations from specifications.
- Perform routine inspections measurements and quality checks using calipers micrometers and other precision tools.
- Adjust machine settings to improve accuracy efficiency and product quality.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and report complex issues to supervisors or maintenance teams.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- 13 years of experience operating CNC machines (or willingness to train for entry-level roles depending on position).
- Ability to read blueprints engineering drawings and G-code (preferred but not required for entry-level).
- Strong understanding of machining principles materials and measurement tools.
- Good mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Physical requirements: Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment sit for up to 8 hours per day and stand or walk for short periods of time as needed. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs occasionally.
- Strong work ethic reliability and attention to detail.
