Senior Business Development Manager- Selection Strategy
Amazon Now is scaling rapidly across India and selection is the primary lever to win and sustain customer preference in Quick Commerce. This role owns the selection strategy charter as a business development growth driver translating customer store and competitive insights into scalable assortment models that unlock new selection pools premiumization opportunities and durable competitive advantage. As Senior Business Development Manager Selection Strategy you will define what each dark store and Super Store carries and in what depth determine where premium selection should be deployed at a pincode level and build hyperlocal and topical playbooks that outperform incumbent competitors. You will operate with a strong hypothesis-driven mindset setting mechanisms that convert strategy into fast execution across Category Product Marketing Instock Supply Chain and Tech while also enabling sellers with data-backed guidance to deploy inventory more efficiently and sustainably as the network expands.
Key job responsibilities
Define store-level assortment and depth strategy by determining what to carry and how much at each dark store and Super Store balancing customer demand store constraints and economics.
Build hyperlocal and premiumization playbooks using Amazon purchase search and affordability signals to deploy premium selection in the right pincodes and store types.
Design and execute parity-to-differentiation workstreams versus incumbents using a rigorous IC evaluation lens to close gaps quickly and then build durable selection advantages.
Own topical and festival selection planning at a store level determining which SKUs to deploy where and in what depth for each event based on local demand patterns.
Enable seller working-capital efficiency by providing data-backed recommendations on where selection will perform best improving inventory deployment reducing waste and strengthening long-term seller partnerships.

- 5 years of professional or military experience
- Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross-functional groups to orchestrate and successfully complete deals
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
- Experience working with technical and product stakeholders to define requirements prioritize features and influence product roadmaps
