Job Summary
Position: Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant (EYFS TA)
Locations: Brent Hounslow Harrow Hillingdon Hammersmith & Fulham Acton surrounding boroughs
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Term-time only
Salary: 85105 per day
Start Date: Immediate and September Starts Available
About the Role
We are currently seeking caring energetic and nurturing EYFS Teaching Assistants to support Early Years settings across West and North West London. These roles are based in primary schools and nursery settings working with children aged 35 years during a critical stage of their development.
As an EYFS TA you will play a key role in supporting childrens learning through play-based activities helping them to develop communication skills independence and confidence in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Key Responsibilities
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging EYFS lessons
Work with individuals and small groups to support learning and development
Assist with phonics early maths language development and creative play
Promote positive behaviour and social interaction
Support children with personal care when required
Observe record and contribute to assessments of childrens progress
Prepare learning resources and maintain engaging learning environments
Support indoor and outdoor learning activities
Build strong positive relationships with children and staff
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Has a genuine passion for early years education
Is patient warm and enthusiastic
Understands child-centred and play-based learning
Can support children with varying abilities and needs
Is reliable proactive and a strong team player
Communicates effectively with young children and adults
Essential Requirements
Experience working in an EYFS nursery or early years setting
Knowledge of the EYFS framework
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Right to work in the UK
Desirable (Not Essential)
Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare / Early Years qualification
Experience supporting SEN in EYFS
Paediatric First Aid or Safeguarding training
