Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a well-established and welcoming primary school in Tower Hamlets from January 2026. This school places a strong emphasis on early academic foundations emotional wellbeing and inclusive practice ensuring that pupils feel confident and supported as they progress through Key Stage 1.

Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
Supporting pupils transition from EYFS into Year 1
Creating a structured nurturing classroom environment
Assessing progress and adapting teaching strategies
Working closely with colleagues and parents
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Secure knowledge of early reading phonics and numeracy
Strong classroom management skills
A child-centred and inclusive approach
Commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing
