About the Role

You will be involved in the maintenance enhancement and further development of an IoT platform created in-house to support a wide range of sensors manufactured by our company. The platform serves both B2B and B2C customers enabling them to manage users and devices receive real-time alerts (push notifications SMS) and integrate seamlessly with third-party systems.

As part of this role you will work across the full lifecycle of IoT data - from device connectivity to backend processing and customer-facing services. You will gain hands-on experience with multiple networking protocols and communication technologies and see how heterogeneous devices connect authenticate and interact with a scalable cloud-based system.

What Youll Be Doing

• Maintain and extend backend services that power our IoT platform.

• Design and implement new features related to device management user management alerts and integrations.

• Ensure reliability performance and scalability of existing systems.

• Work with messaging and event-driven architectures for device communication and data processing.

• Integrate devices using different communication protocols and connectivity types.

• Collaborate with product hardware and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

• Debug monitor and optimize production systems.

• Contribute to code quality through reviews testing and documentation.

• Backend: .NET 6 & 8 22

• Databases: PostgreSQL InfluxDB

• Messaging: Eclipse Mosquitto (MQTT) RabbitMQ

• Protocols: HTTP MQTT AMQP CoAP TCP

• Device Connectivity: WiFi LoRa Zigbee

• DevOps & Tooling: Docker GitLab CI

What We Are Looking For

• Basic experience with .NET and/or (academic or commercial).

• Understanding of programming fundamentals and REST APIs.

• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.

• Basic knowledge of Git and version control workflows.

• Willingness to learn new technologies and ask questions.

What you will learn

• How IoT platforms are built and maintained end to end.

• Basics of event-driven and message-based architectures.

• Working with different networking and IoT protocols.

• Handling and storing sensor data including time-series data.

• Writing clean maintainable backend code in a production environment.
