Were looking for a hands-on Tech Lead of Development with strong cloud data and AI foundations to lead the design and delivery of scalable software platforms.
This role is ideal for someone with 8 years of experience who enjoys building systems making pragmatic technical decisions and leading by example in fast-moving evolving environments.
Role Responsibilities
Technical & Architecture Leadership (40%)
Design scalable and secure cloud architectures on AWS and/or Azure.
Act as the technical reference for internal teams and client stakeholders ensuring clear and effective communication.
Balance MVP speed with long-term scalability.
Own and evolve backend cloud and data architecture foundations.
Evaluate build vs. buy decisions for data and AI components.
Contribute to technical roadmaps.
Ensure baseline security privacy and compliance best practices across systems.
Hands-on Development & Delivery (40%)
Develop backend services and data pipelines using Python and .
Build and maintain APIs (REST; GraphQL is a plus).
Lead data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
Integrate LLMs RAG pipelines and ML services.
Maintain CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
Participate in code reviews and critical implementations.
This is a hands-on role regular coding in production systems is expected.
Team Leadership & Engineering Culture (20%)
Mentor developers and data engineers.
Promote best practices in code quality and testing.
Scale processes pragmatically without over-engineering.
Foster a collaborative engineering culture.
Role Requirements
8 years of backend data or platform engineering experience.
Strong production experience with Python and/or .
Solid AWS and/or Azure experience.
Experience with data pipelines and backend systems.
CI/CD and cloud-native development experience.
Fluent and articulate English communication (spoken and written).
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Data & AI Foundations
Familiarity with OpenAI Azure OpenAI or Anthropic.
Exposure to RAG architectures (FAISS Weaviate Qdrant).
Understanding of ML/NLP fundamentals.
Pragmatic approach to using AI in production environments.
Familiarity with data pipelines (Airbyte dbt custom pipelines).
