Primary Duties:
- Perform oil and filter changes according to manufacturer specifications
- Check top off and replace vehicle fluids (engine oil transmission coolant brake power steering windshield washer etc.)
- Inspect vehicles for basic safety and maintenance issues including belts hoses tires lights wiper blades and battery condition
- Rotate and balance tires as required
- Check and adjust tire pressure
- Replace air filters and cabin filters
- Lubricate vehicle components as needed
Inspection & Reporting:
- Conduct courtesy vehicle inspections and document findings
- accurately identify and report potential mechanical issues or safety concerns to supervisors or service advisors
- Make maintenance recommendations based on vehicle condition and manufacturer guidelines
Shop & Safety Responsibilities:
- Follow all shop safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Properly dispose of used oil filters and hazardous materials
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work area
- Use shop tools and equipment properly and responsibly
Customer Service & Teamwork:
- Communicate professionally with service advisors and team members
- Provide honest accurate information regarding vehicle condition
- Support team operations and assist other technicians as needed
Qualifications & Skills (optional section):
- Basic mechanical knowledge and interest in automotive repair
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Valid drivers license and ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles
- 6 months of related job experience (Preferred)
- Ability to follow instructions work effectively in a team environment and uphold Meinekes commitment to high-quality work.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- State inspectors license or willingness to obtain
