Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT).
Work with residents to improve their mobility strength and physical function.
Help residents recover from injuries surgeries or illnesses by providing physical therapy exercises and techniques.
Support residents in improving their balance coordination and functional mobility to regain independence.
Monitor and report progress to the supervising Physical Therapist and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Educate residents and their families on mobility strategies injury prevention and rehabilitation exercises.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team including physical therapists occupational therapists nurses and speech therapists to ensure holistic care.
Participate in care planning meetings to discuss resident progress and adjust therapy goals.
Maintain accurate records of treatments progress and documentation to meet healthcare regulations.
Ensure residents receive therapy in a compassionate safe and supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school with an associate degree as Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Certification by the State of Wisconsin to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
