Position Overview
Heiners Bakery is seeking a qualified and experienced baker to join our commercial bakery operations in Victoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full baking process producing high-quality bread and bakery products while maintaining strict food safety hygiene and production standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare mix knead prove bake and finish a variety of bread and baked products
Produce consistent high-quality items in accordance with recipes and production schedules
Operate and maintain commercial baking equipment including mixers ovens and proofers
Monitor dough fermentation baking temperatures and timings to ensure product quality
Ensure compliance with food safety standards HACCP and workplace health & safety policies
Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment
Manage ingredient preparation stock rotation and minimise waste
Work efficiently in a fast-paced bakery environment including early morning and weekend shifts
Support team members and management to meet daily production targets
Requirements
AQF Certificate III in Baking or equivalent qualification
OR minimum 15 years relevant commercial baking experience
At least 2 years post-qualification or equivalent industry experience
Experience working in a commercial or high-volume bakery environment
Strong knowledge of baking processes dough handling and quality control
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable punctual and physically capable of bakery duties
