What our Building Envelope Analyst will do:
As a Building Envelope Analyst Associate you will be responsible for evaluating the exterior components of condominium buildings. Your expertise will support the SPS Savings BluePrint process which establishes facts and provides solutions to remedy a buildings aging exterior. You will educate SPS clients on the nature of the work that needs to be performed allowing clients to make informed decisions when considering building envelope replacements or maintenance. A successful Building Envelope Analyst Associate is able to balance the above responsibilities through excellent time management skills and a strong commitment to doing the job right. This role is supervised by a Vice President and it is a full-time exempt position.
The responsibilities are expected to include:
Building Envelope Analysis As training for 3-6 months attend invasive investigations to support a Building Envelope Analyst. After training lead invasive investigations in the field to document and establish facts about the building envelope conditions Prepare and present PowerPoint Presentations for Condominium Boards to review the findings Contribute to specifications for SPS30 projects based on the investigation of the buildings and what best fits our clients needs. Production / Quality Control Field Measure for SPS30 projects and High Impact deals. Collaborate with Engineers to review findings Keep up on new technologies and Building Envelope products to implement in the SPS30 program. | Business Development Meet withCondominiumBoards / Property Managers to inform them about the Savings BluePrint process that SPS offers Client Education / Communication Attend SBP pricing meetings to discuss project options with clients Handle scheduling and daily communication with property managers and condominium boards for SBP projects Performing other incidental and related duties as required and assigned |
Key qualifications:
- Leadership:Able to bring employees and other labor assets together to achieve goals. Wants to help people and organizations accomplish their objectives. Strong preference to act and be seen as a leader.
- Self-motivated: Is disciplined. Sets and works to achieve goals without needing to be managed. Identifies and overcomes obstacles and sees tasks through to full completion.
- Organization: Is able to prioritize coordinate and manage multiple projects at once. Can switch gears from a normal workflow to a fast-paced schedule when time-sensitive requirements arise.
- Construction knowledge:Intimate understanding of exterior construction waterproofing roofing cladding systems. Architecture Engineering or Construction background specifically with Building Envelope Replacement on Condominiums.
- Communication: Has excellent oral written and presentation skills. Builds and maintains strong working relationships with clients vendors and employees. Ability to understand Spanish is a plus.
- Team player: Works harmoniously with co-workers and clients with a team-first attitude.
- Technology:Has basic computer skills and is comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience using file sharing platforms like Box and CRM platforms like Salesforce a plus.
- Flexibility: In addition to working in the office this position requires a willingness to travel to job sites throughout New England. Time is split equally between office and travel. Typical hours are 7:30 am to 5:00 pm with approximately 2-3 evening meetings per week which can last until 8:00 pm.
- Physical component: Requires driving lifting of materials and ladders climbing on roofs and walking through job sites. A drivers license and access to a vehicle will be necessary for visits to job sites.
