POSITION SUMMARY:
In this position the Nurse Practitioner will work within the Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) to provide care for patients experiencing urgent psychiatric needs as well as maintaining a panel of patients receiving ongoing ambulatory care through the CBHCs multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities will include providing crisis evaluations diagnostic and psychopharmacology evaluations and psychopharmalogical treatment. As an expert professional the Nurse Practitioner is responsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process clinical practice research involvement consultative services inter and intradepartmental liaison education leadership and patient care management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Masters degree in nursing required. Completion of an accredited educational program for nurse practitioners required.
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts with authorization by the Board of Registration in Nursing to practice in an expanded role.
Registered with the ANCC or other accrediting organization for Nurse Practitioners.
Registered with the State of Massachusetts and DEA for prescription writing privileges.
Current BLS and ACLS Certifications.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of three years of current clinical nursing experience and two years experience in adult practice required. Prior experience in related clinical practice preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
24HR POSITON INCLUDES ONE WEEK-END DAY (EITHER SATURDAY OR SUNDAY) THREE 8HR SHIFTS SOME FLEXIBILITY IN START/END TIME
Compensation Range:
$104000.00- $151000.00This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer.
