Our dedicated team consists of ten highly esteemed ophthalmologists and two proficient optometrists all of whom possess a wealth of experience in their fields. We are seeking an experienced and goal-oriented Practice Administrator to provide high-impact leadership as we navigate a pivotal period of transition and strategic growth. This is a unique opportunity to build and scale clinical operations optimize the patient experience and partner closely with physician owners to position the practice for long-term success in a competitive rapidly evolving healthcare landscape. Position Summary

The Practice Administrator will oversee the operational financial and strategic functions of the practice playing a key role in advancing business goals optimizing resources and ensuring overall operational excellence including financial performance regulatory compliance and staff development.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Growth

  • Serve as a content expert and internal consultant for clinic leadership and physician stakeholders regarding clinical activities strategic planning quality improvement and operational tactics.
  • Develop and execute clear measurable business plans that align with the Boards clinical patient care and financial goals.
  • Lead the strategic development and operational transformation of clinic operations during a key growth phase.
  • Build and scale clinical operations including the development and optimization of new physical space for ophthalmology services.
  • Identify and pursue new service lines referral networks and business development opportunities to expand patient access and volume.

Operational & Financial Management

  • Oversee the leadership team supervising daily clinical operations ensuring the highest levels of patient care safety and service.
  • Work closely with executive leadership and the Board of Directors to ensure financial success including managing revenue optimization planning comprehensive budgets and implementing responsible expense control.
  • Develop and manage department budgets forecasting and resource allocation including optimizing space utilization.
  • Utilize data and analytics to drive operational efficiency access and performance metrics.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline workflows enhance patient throughput and optimize cost per unit of service.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner effectively with the Board of Directors leadership and other stakeholders to ensure aligned goals across clinical care and organizational objectives.
  • Lead mentor and develop administrative and clinical staff fostering a culture of accountability innovation and continuous improvement.

Program Development & Compliance

  • Implement and champion best practices in ophthalmology and eye care delivery.
  • Ensure clinic and office facilities comply with safety standards OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor service levels and quality performance metrics; ensure safety protocols and infection control standards are maintained throughout the clinic.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Extensive professional business or management experience preferably in a clinical or healthcare environment.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets contracts and revenue growth strategies.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations safety standards and accreditation processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication strategic planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment make sound judgments handle confidential information and serve as a creative energetic problem solver.

Preferred:

  • Masters degree preferably in business finance healthcare administration or a related field.
  • Experience with planning and oversight of ambulatory surgery services related to ophthalmic procedures.
  • Strong computer software skills necessary to develop and present critical confidential information.
