Overview of the Internship Program
The RHF Summer Internship Program provides students with the opportunity to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced collaborative workplace. Interns will contribute to meaningful projects work alongside industry professionals and explore career paths within one of Americas most respected furniture manufacturing organizations.
We offer internship placements in a variety of departments including but not limited to:
- Engineering (Industrial Manufacturing Mechanical Process Improvement)
- Product Design & Development
- Accounting & Finance
- Human Resources
- Marketing & Communications
- Supply Chain & Logistics
- Operations & Production Management
- Information Technology
- Customer Service & Sales Support
- Quality & Compliance
During the program interns will participate in plant tours professional development sessions group outings networking events and leadership roundtables.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will vary based on department placement but may include:
- Assisting with ongoing departmental projects and contributing ideas and recommendations
- Supporting daily operations through research analysis documentation and hands-on tasks
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams on both short-term and long-term initiatives
- Participating in process improvement efforts data collection reporting or design work
- Shadowing RHF professionals to learn industry best practices and workflows
- Attending scheduled intern events training sessions and presentations
QualificationsPreferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university working toward an undergraduate degree
- Majoring in a field related to your internship area (e.g. Engineering Accounting Design Business HR IT Communications etc.)
- Strong communication problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Eagerness to learn take initiative and contribute to team goals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint); additional software skills are a plus depending on area (AutoCAD SolidWorks Adobe ERP systems etc.)
