• Leads the architecture and design of full stack solutions for complex business problems andbreakdown projects and features into manageable tasks particularly with large projects that involve multiple teams.

• Advocates forautomationprocesses by working closely with otherteamsfrom across the organizationfollowing well established DevOps practices and principles.

• Responsible for working with teams necessary to implement and transition toautomatedworkflows with a continuous focus on making sure security quality performance scalability and high reliability are integrated into every part of theplatform.

• Leads full-stack software development covering database design services and API implementations and front-end UI development for an engaging user experienceprimarily with C# and Backstage.

• Work with stakeholders ondeterminingpriorities and capabilities of the platform.

• Coordinate withstakeholdersto ensure standardization of technologies between different projectsand systems.

• Work withother teamsacross the organizationin the establishment of standards and best practices and to reduceoperationalcomplexity.

• Continuously introducenew ways of improving and scaling systems and services includingmicroservicesarchitecture cloud computing and other evolving technologies.

• Determineand implement processes to ensure the success of allusers of the platform.

• Championsautomationpractices throughout the Credit Union by providing guidance mentorshipand best practices.

• Consults across multiple teams andisconsidered atop-leveltechnical expert in the field.

• May beto work occasional evenings and weekend hours to support production releases and resolve system issues.

Experience

• Minimum8years ofplatform engineering or related areaexperiencewith 3 in a senior level position.

• Experience incontributingto the standardization of SDLC processes and methodologies across the organization for both internally developed software and externallyacquiredsystems.

• Linux andWindows serverexpertise including system installation configuration administrationandtroubleshooting.

• Expertisewithmultiplescripting languages such as PowerShelland Bash.

• Expertisewith infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraformor Ansible.

• Expertisewith cloud providers such as AWS or Azure.

• Experience in implementingcloud providersat the organization level.

• Expertisewith CI/CD tools such asAzure DevOps Octopusor GitHub.

• Expertiseincontainercreation and orchestration.

• Expertisein Kubernetesimplementation andadministration.

• Expertisemanaging sourcecodein Git (repositories branching merging etc.).

• Expertisein managing source control providerssuch as GitHub and Azure DevOps.

• Experience withrelational databases.

• Expertiseautomatingmanual and repetitive system processes.

• Expertiseinstandard IT security practices such as encryption certificatesand key management.

• Expertiseguiding cross-organization teams inplatform engineering and automationpractices.

• Expertisewith documenting current and new processesinaway that is usable by others.

• Experience with teaching and guidingplatform engineering and automationpracticesand conceptsto others.

• Familiarity with banking or credit union regulatory and security requirements is a plus.

• Familiarity with corebanking or credit unionsystemssuch as Keystoneis a plus.

Education

• Bachelors degreefrom an accredited institution incomputer science information systems or related field.Education will be verified.OR4years combined education and experience inPlatformEngineeringDevOpsor Software Development.
