We are currently seeking a full-timeRegional Medical Director to overseeclinical services provided to the incarcerated populations in the Pre-trial facilities located in Baltimore Maryland.
This position will be headquartered at the Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center in downtown Baltimore.
The Regional Medical Directorprovides comprehensive medical direction needed to meet the service delivery requirements for the contract in collaboration with the Regional Operations Manager/Regional Vice President. This role will also include the following:
- Provide the clinical and utilization management direction needed to meet the service delivery requirements of the contract.
- Mentor clinically supervise and evaluate the team-delivered medical services for the patients at all facilities of the contract.
- Mentor and evaluate the team-delivered utilization management process.
- Promote the culture of quality medical care using evidence-based standard of care.
- Establish directives provide direction and/or attend meetings as requested.
- Function as consultant for behavioral health staff and ancillary provider staff.
- Provide indirect clinical services.
- Serve as the contracts clinical expert provider resource clinical and medical management leader and clinical outcomes driver.
- Represents correctional healthcare to the client and the contracts providers.
QualificationsQualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
- Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one required
- Board certification/eligible in Family Medicine Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine required
- Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
- Leadership experience preferred
- Ability to pass credentialing and background check
