Since 1997 Centurion has proudly partnered with the Georgia Department of Corrections to provide mental health services. We are excited to announce that we will now also be expanding our services to include medical care. Centurion is actively seeking a Primary Care Physicianat Hancock State Prison in Sparta Georgia
Staff Physician: provides medical assessments and evaluations provides treatment for emergent urgent and routine medical issues provides and supervises medical treatment for chronic medical conditions and participates in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries of patients in a correctional setting. The Physician works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director in collaboration with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure that efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided.

QualificationsRequirements:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
- Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one required
- Board certification in Family Medicine Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine required
- Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
- Correctional healthcare experience preferred
- Ability to pass credentialing and background check
