About the Role
At Haleon we are a business led by our purpose: to deliver better everyday health with humanity. As Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) reporting requirements evolve around the world this will be an important role within Haleons Sustainability team supporting our need to meet ESG reporting expectations and requirements.
We are looking for an experienced ESG Reporting Manager in our ESG Programme and Reporting Team to lead delivery of external ESG reporting activities. Reporting to the Sustainability Programme and Reporting Director you will work closely with a diverse team to identify coordinate and ensure the timely and accurate reporting of Haleons ESG obligations.
This involves:
Inclusion of sustainability information in the Annual Reports and Accounts.
Development of our sustainability report
Delivery of our investor ratings and indices programme responding to CDP MSCI and Sustainalytics amongst others.
The role consists of coordinating data collection implementing regulatory-driven requirements (e.g. upcoming UK Sustainability Reporting Requirements) research and investor rating and indices submissions.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks requirements and trends. Communicate clearly to key stakeholders including executives the changes and implications for Haleon.
Set up and manage a reporting framework and annual plan for the business covering all relevant and upcoming reporting obligations.
Drive ESG reporting in Haleons Annual Report Better Everyday Health reports and other ESG disclosures in light of upcoming regulatory requirements.
Lead the delivery of ESG ratings and indices submissions. Build relationships with ratings agencies and develop expert knowledge on how to meet requirements ensuring the business is informed on how to improve ESG performance.
Project manage and coordinate the gathering of data and information across the business to support internal and external ESG reporting.
Build strong working relationships with relevant teams including HR Corporate Affairs Legal Risk Procurement and EHS.
Monitor data completeness and quality identifying priority areas for improvement and working alongside relevant teams to address these priorities.
Work with the ESG Controller to implement robust processes and controls on external disclosures.
Plan how to efficiently streamline/integrate reporting and identify opportunities for connectivity with financial reporting whilst meeting all relevant obligations.
Respond to key external benchmarking and rating questionnaires.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential
Proven industry experience in ESG reporting preferably in a large listed global corporate.
Knowledge of the rapidly changing landscape of ESG reporting requirements (in particular ISSB and CSRD requirements).
Proven track record of working cross-functionally to drive changes needed to meet these requirements.
Understanding of data challenges and ability to identify issues around data quality and work with colleagues for resolution.
Experience in identifying and actioning opportunities for process improvements and efficiency.
Independent self-starter and collaborative.
Preferred
Exposure to assurance.
Team management and ability to build business capability in ESG reporting and engage senior leadership on rationale for change and requirements.
Proven track record of managing disclosures and ESG indices.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
Understanding of governance and control requirements around external reporting.
Deep understanding of ESG disclosure trends and best practice.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present explain and discuss results of analyses to effectively drive fact-based decision-making.
Strong attention to detail.
Project management and coordination experience.
