Employment Type: Part-Time (Up to 20 hours per week)
Position Overview
Greater St. Louis Area Scouting is seeking a detail-oriented and personable Recruitment Assistant to support our mission of developing young leaders. You will be the engine behind our hiring processmanaging our applicant tracking system identifying high-quality candidates and acting as a brand ambassador for Scouting at local career events.
This is a flexible part-time role perfect for someone looking to build a career in Human Resources or Recruiting while making a tangible impact on the community.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain and update our recruitment database ensuring all candidate information is accurate and moving through the pipeline efficiently.
- Review resumes and conduct initial applicant screenings to identify candidates who align with our organizational values and job requirements.
- Occasionally attend local career fairs and community events to promote Scouting as an employer of choice in the Greater St. Louis Area.
- Assist in scheduling interviews between hiring managers and top-tier talent.
- Serve as a point of contact for applicants providing a professional and welcoming candidate experience.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; current college students or recent graduates pursuing HR Business or Communications are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook) and a quick learner of new software/databases.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a people-first attitude.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across a 20-hour work week.
- Ability to occasionally travel to event sites within the St. Louis metropolitan area (mileage reimbursement provided).
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
