Academy of Art University is seeking a Lab Technician to work within our School of Animation & Visual Effects for the Spring 2026 Semester. This position will work closely with our students utilizing our lab resources. Ideal candidates will have exceptional customer service skills a love for the arts and the ability to work with a diverse student is an on-site position located in San Francisco.

Responsibilities:

• Perform junior-level network administration for Windows and Mac network environment
• Perform software and hardware installation troubleshooting and upgrades
• Assist students with any software/hardware issues that may arise
• Work in coordination with the front desk to ensure the smooth workflow
• Provide support and assistance to the Department Director
• Provide support to department for Spring Show and other events as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service. Provide a cordial and friendly presence to students faculty and staff.
• Maintain guidelines set forth by the Academy of Art University
• Maintain a clean functional and productive learning environment
• Protect equipment from theft or vandalism
• Perform other duties as assigned

Compensation:

$22.00/hour
