The Opportunity
The position of Senior Supply Chain Analyst is part of our Toxicology Workplace Services business located in our Kansas City MO Richmond VA or Lake Forest IL office. This role is responsible for planning and managing inventory levels of finished goods that currently flow through our Workplace Services business. The Supply Chain Specialist will report up through our Network & Supply Chain Operations function. This role will work closely with Commercial Vendors Manufacturing and Procurement across multiple sites and ERPs.
What Youll Work On
Liaise with Commercial colleagues to understand demand requirements and the impact of events that will influence future demand
Determine proper inventory levels to be maintained for each SKU based upon appropriate planning factors (e.g. lead time shelf life variability in demand and supply)
Analyze inventory position and demand to ensure correct inventory levels are maintained
Create and process purchase orders for direct and indirect materials following documented procurement processes
Monitor and report supplier performance
Communicate purchase order status with Management and Stakeholders while managing orders through completion and execute closures once fulfilled
Interact with suppliers and is responsible for maintaining and enhancing good business relationships between Abbott and suppliers communicating component specifications to suppliers
Update vendor performance data and support the development of supplier scorecards and Service Level Agreements (SLA)
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree and 5 or more years of relevant professional experience OR 9 or more years of an equivalent combination of professional experience and education
Professional experience in supply chain or operations
Experience working with ERP applications (e.g. Sage Great Plains SAP etc.)
General knowledge and application of procurement concepts procedures and practices
Ability to adequately perform tasks and work within a quality system environment as this position directly impacts our businesss compliance with governmental regulations
Ability to travel up to 25% as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in order management and fulfillment logistics and inventory planning is a plus
High level of critical thinking analytical and problem-solving ability
Demonstrated resourcefulness initiative and results-oriented capabilities
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
Ability to work collaborate with numerous functions build consensus across functional and geographic boundaries
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high complexity
Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and collaborate on shared outcomes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills both with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to translate complex information to insights and actions for executive stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
Proficiency in ERP system(s)
APICS certification preferred

$78000.00 $156000.00In specific locations the pay range may vary from the range posted.
