Description:

Administers direct and indirect patient care in an ambulatory care setting. Addresses total comprehensive needs ofpatients and oversees the delivery of care to a large diverse patient population. The RN initiates appropriate nursinginterventions and education in conjunction with the physicians or professional healthcare providers comprehensivepatient plan of care.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES
Education: Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing (ADN diploma BSN)
Licensure: RN Indiana license or licensed in another state having requested endorsement in Indiana. CPR certificationon hire or able to attain within 60 days.
Experience: A minimum of six months current experience in the ambulatory care setting is preferred. Experience invarious clinical areas is preferred.


Other Job Requirements:
Must be tactful in handling patient problems often of a highly personal and confidential nature. Must be able to maintainself-composure during frustrating interpersonal situations. Sustained mental attention required. Moderate to high levelsof stress should be anticipated on a daily basis. Must be able to respond and react to emergency and changing situationscalmly professionally and in an expedient manner. Must be able to work without constant direct supervision. Able toadjust communication skills to the level of the patient. Computer skills preferred.
May need to occasionally travel to other SJPN locations within the three county area.
Assigned hours within your shift starting time or days of work are subject to change based on departmental and/ororganizational needs.
