Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Per-Diem Registered Nurse for an opening at a Medical Center in Selma this role you will deliver high-quality compassionate care in a dynamic Emergency Department/ Emergency Room setting managing a diverse patient population and collaborating with a skilled healthcare team.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors degree in nursing from an accredited program.
Licensure: Active unencumbered RN license from the state of Alabama.
Experience: Minimum of 6 months of RN work experience.
Technical Skills: Current CPR certification (Basic Life Support preferred).
Soft Skills: Strong clinical judgment critical thinking effective communication cultural competency collaboration adaptability and a positive attitude.
Credentialing Requirements: Clean background check negative TB test results annual physical COVID-19 vaccination and other requirements as specified by the facility or agency.

Key Responsibilities:

Registered nurses are expected to manage various responsibilities while delivering safe competent and compassionate care to diverse patient populations in settings such as hospitals outpatient clinics skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation centers. More specifically RNs should be able to:

Rapidly assess triage and prioritize patients based on acuity using established emergency nursing protocols.
Provide direct emergency nursing care including medication administration IV therapy wound care cardiac monitoring and trauma response.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement timely treatment plans in fast-paced high-pressure situations.
Continuously monitor patient status and promptly recognize document and respond to changes in condition.
Educate patients and families on diagnoses treatments discharge instructions and follow-up care while ensuring compassionate patient-centered care.
