Endava are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to lead the end-to-end solution and data architecture of a new Cross-Border Payments Platform with ownership across application integration infrastructure and data domains. This role blends strategic technical leadership with hands-on architectural design and governance across a core platform and operational support systems.

Required
Proven experience owning end-to-end solution architecture for distributed systems in regulated environments (payments banking insurance or capital markets preferred).
Expertise in MongoDB Enterprise (schema design replication sharding encryption and monitoring) and experience with SQL/NoSQL data modeling.
Hands-on experience architecting event-driven systems using Apache Kafka (or equivalent) and designing APIs/integration patterns (REST/gRPC MQ/ESB as needed).
Solid understanding of Kubernetes/OpenShift deployments DevOps practices and cloud architecture (AWS preferred).
Strong data security architecture knowledge (encryption at rest/in transit KMS/HSM integration tokenization/CSFLE secrets management).
Understanding of ISO 20022 message structures and financial interoperability patterns.
Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF Zachman or equivalent; practical experience creating and maintaining ADRs.
Preferred
Experience designing data pipelines and analytics platforms using AWS Glue Redshift and QuickSight (or comparable services) including data security and governance.

Experience designing retention and archiving strategies (hot/cold storage immutable backups CDP) with audit-grade traceability.
Working knowledge of cloud-native monitoring and SRE practices (CloudWatch Prometheus Grafana) and performance engineering.
Experience engaging regulators/auditors with architecture and evidence artefacts.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication and presentation skillsable to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills; ability to build consensus across multiple teams and organizations.
Collaborative leadership style with a track record of mentoring and uplifting engineering teams.
