Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Per-Diem Registered Nurse for an opening at a Medical Center in Selma this role you will deliver high-quality compassionate care in a dynamic setting managing a diverse patient population and collaborating with a skilled healthcare team.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Active unencumbered RN license from the state of Alabama.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 months of RN work experience.
• Technical Skills: Current CPR certification (Basic Life Support preferred).
• Soft Skills: Strong clinical judgment critical thinking effective communication cultural competency collaboration adaptability and a positive attitude.
• Credentialing Requirements: Clean background check negative TB test results annual physical COVID-19 vaccination and other requirements as specified by the facility or agency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-acuity evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients managing complex conditions advanced life support equipment (e.g. ventilators vasoactive drips) and continuous physiological monitoring.
• Perform vigilant ongoing patient assessment and surveillance interpreting subtle changes in condition and responding immediately to prevent clinical deterioration.
• Administer and titrate potent medications and intravenous therapies with precision based on comprehensive patient data and physician orders.
• Collaborate as a core member of a multidisciplinary team (physicians specialists respiratory therapists) to develop implement and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Provide compassionate communication and support to patients and their families during critical illness facilitating understanding and involvement in care decisions.
