Job Summary:

As a Crane Mechanic your primary responsibility will be working with lattice boom crawlers rough terrain and telescoping hydraulic cranes as well as equipment used in deep foundation drilling to inspect repair and maintain them with minimal downtime. You must have sufficient industry knowledge to independently troubleshoot and repair mechanical hydraulic and electrical failures.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure operation of machinery and equipment by completing routine preventive maintenance on engines motors electrical systems hydraulic systems high-pressure air systems fuel systems and mechanical systems.
  • Inspect repair remove and replace defective or damaged parts using hoists cranes hand and power tools.
  • Prepare maintenance reports by collecting and summarizing information on work orders.
  • Read and comprehend technical publications and schematics.
  • Complete shop-related duties as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Mechanic must have their own tools.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Valid insurance.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
  • Knowledge of equipment with strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.


Working Environments:

  • Outdoor environments with prolonged exposure to weather conditions.
  • Construction zones with uneven and muddy terrain.
  • Equipment yards with open shops no air conditioning.
  • Jobsites with moving equipment cranes and machinery.
  • Elevated positions while working on various equipment.


Compensation:

  • Pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications hourly-based and disbursed weekly.
