Warehouse Assistant

Southside Market is the oldest BBQ joint in Texas. We have restaurants in Bastrop Austin Hutto Leander and our headquarters is located at our original location in Elgin. Southside Markets Processing department is currently looking for a full time Warehouse the direction of the Director of Plant Operations receives tracks and delivers all warehouse products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Driving to and from warehouse to retail outlets in company vehicle.
2. Receivesand tacks shipments.
3. Embarks merchandise in delivery trucks using appropriate tools.
4. Tracks and documents exact shipment arrival and departure times.
5. Tags and labels merchandise.
6. Labels and stocks merchandise according to procedures.
7. Prepares all orders for shipment.
8. Records and manages all impaired or damaged items.
9. Prepares and delivers all restaurant orders per schedule and on time.
10. Ensures that the storage areas and warehouse is kept clean and tidy.
11. Assists with scheduling equipment maintenance as required.
12. Maintains a working knowledge of all warehouse operations.
13. Operates warehouse forklift and assists in keeping it in good condition.
14. Observes safety and security standards.

Skills and Experienced Required:

1. Ability to operate a forklift with prior experience.
2. 1 to 2 years prior plant or warehouse experience preferred.
3. Ability to read write speak and understand English

Qualifications:

1. Valid drivers license.
2. Clean and verifiable driving record (verified through background check).
3. Physically able to stand sit move squat walk & climb during course of shift/work day.
4. Physically able to lift between 50 - 70 pounds
5. Related work experience.
6. Strong skills in working with people.
7. Cooperative strong work ethic positive attitude professional demeanor.
8. Ability to discern problems and devise solutions.
