DescriptionMHM Solutions a Centurion company is proud to be the provider of healthcare staffing solutions to state agencies within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We are currently seeking a full-time Neuropsychologist to join our team at Torrance State Hospital located in Torrance Pennsylvania.
The Neuropsychologist conducts diagnostic neuropsychological evaluations provides direct patient treatment and guides interdisciplinary cognitive rehabilitation for an adult inpatient psychiatric hospital population at Torrance State Hospital. This role provides neuropsychological services as assigned encompassing evaluation of the patients presenting complaints and condition past medical and psychiatric histories social history and current mental status. This includes conceptualizing cases leading to appropriate diagnoses assessing potential barriers to treatment formulating treatment goals and plans implementing empirically based treatment/intervention/adaptation strategies and monitoring the patients response to intervention modifying treatment plans as necessary.
The Neuropsychologist is also responsible for preparing and distributing reports of assessments to the referral source and other designated providers upon completion of the assessment. This role acts as a resource to staff providing training and supervision as needed participating in staff meetings and in-service programs and performing other related job duties as assigned.
QualificationsQualifications:
Doctoral degree in clinical psychology counseling psychology or related field from a program accredited by the U.S. American Psychological Association (APA) required
Current MD/DO licensure or licensure eligibility in Pennsylvania required
Board certification or eligibility in Clinical Neuropsychology or Rehabilitation Psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) required
Completion of an APA-accredited internship in psychology required
Completion of pre- and post-doctoral training in neuropsychology required
Completion of a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology or rehabilitation psychology preferred
Minimum of one (1) year of full-time postdoctoral experience as a clinical neuropsychologist or rehabilitation psychologist required
Experience working with interdisciplinary treatment teams
Forensic evaluation experience preferred
Experience working in an inpatient psychiatric setting or state hospital
