Job Summary
Job Title: Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Holmdel NJ
Assignment Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift
Schedule: 3 12-hour shifts
Shift Time: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Total Hours: 36 hours/week
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or as needed
Holiday Requirement: Required
On-Call: Minimum once weekly
Position Overview
A hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night-shift travel assignment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in ventilator management arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and the care of critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive respiratory care to adult and high-acuity patients
Manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
Perform arterial punctures and obtain ABGs accurately
Administer respiratory treatments and oxygen therapy
Monitor patient response and adjust respiratory care plans as needed
Collaborate with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Respond effectively to emergency respiratory situations
Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital experience
Strong ventilator management skills
Proven ability to perform arterial blood gas collection independently
Experience working in high-acuity or critical care settings
High level of reliability accountability and schedule flexibility
Education Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
Required Certifications & Licensure
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
Active state respiratory therapy license
BLS (AHA)
