Collins Engineers Inc. is seeking a self-motivatedBridge Design-Senior Engineerto be an integral part of our team in Denver Colorado.This role will be responsible for leading and managing the bridge designs for a variety of infrastructure projects throughout the Western United States. We are looking for experience with plan specification and estimate packages as well as load rating experience. Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate lead and review designs for a variety of bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects assuming responsibility for design plans and calculations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have good communication skills and a solutions-based approach.
- Oversee the planning scheduling and execution of bridge design projects from concept to construction while ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs provide design recommendations and address any concerns or questions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supervise staff as necessary to complete assignments.
- Other duties may be assigned.

QualificationsEducation and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering; masters degree preferred.
- Professional engineer (P.E.) license is required; structural engineer (S.E.) certification preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in bridge design including 2 years at the Project Manager/EOR level.
- Experience working with DOTs and/or municipalities.
- Proven experience with AASHTO LRFD bridge design and DOT design guidelines.
- Proficiency in industry-standard structural analysis and bridge design software.
- Demonstrated success in managing preliminary and final design preparation of construction documents specifications and cost estimates as well as project scheduling and subcontractor management.
