Position Summary

The Director of CRM Systems provides the overall vision long-term strategy and operational leadership for enterprise CRM and Student Success technology solutions across the institution serving as the primary system administrator and expert for all Technolutions Slate instances currently used by Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions. A critical focus of this role will be to lead the development and implementation of the new Slate Student Success instance and expand its strategic use to additional offices across campus while continuously optimizing the CRM for maximum efficiency streamlining the constituent record lifecycle and keeping data integrity and security at the front of all conversations and configurations; furthermore this position will directly support the universitys advanced reporting and analytics needs and will collaborate closely with the Director of Enterprise Applications providing supplemental support and leadership as needed within the Enterprise Applications unit.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Architect implement and maintain Technolutions Slate instances including data models roles workflows automations portals queries and communication tools.
  • Optimize Slate configurations to support multiple recruitment operations such as undergraduate graduate and specialty programs.
  • Manage integrations between Slate Peoplesoft data warehouse marketing tools and third-party systems to ensure seamless data exchange and system reliability.
  • Provide advanced technical guidance and support to CRM administrators and functional users serving as the institutions Slate subject-matter expert.
  • Build and manage Student Success technology environments supporting advising workflows case management early alerts intervention strategies and student engagement efforts.
  • Partner with advising and student-support areas to design processes and dashboards that enhance retention and improve student outcomes.
  • Oversee integrations and secure file transfers to maintain reliable connections between core systems.
  • Collaborate with institutional research teams to deliver actionable reporting analytics and dashboards for decision-making.
  • Manage project timelines budgets priorities and vendor relationships to ensure successful delivery of technology initiatives.
  • Implement documentation standards internal knowledgebases and ongoing user training programs to promote system adoption.
  • Offer campus-wide support and consultation to translate departmental needs into scalable efficient technical solutions.
  • Monitor system performance conduct regular audits and drive continuous improvement to enhance usability and effectiveness of the system and perform regular maintenance to increase the efficiency of the system and maintain the integrity of data
  • Provide data extracts to third party vendors for integration with various university systems
  • Regularly collaborate with departments across the campus
  • Provide basic system training to users and assist them on the use of system documentation manuals etc. for further addition as new processes/features are developed create training manuals and provide user training
  • Work with the campus and Slate communities to foster new use cases for the Slate CRM.
  • Knowledge and understanding of single sign-on technologies would be preferred
  • Develop modify maintain and support custom reports for both ad-hoc and ongoing needs to fulfill university state and federal mandates
  • Work closely with management to prioritize business needs using data and stay up to date with the goals of the University as they evolve
  • Take responsibility for keeping skills current on the systems by either self-study or by taking appropriate off-site or online training classes
  • Required to provide off-hours support for critical system issues or upgrades if needed
  • Work closely with Director of Enterprise Application to build strategies to support enterprise systems on campus and when needed provide leadership support to the unit.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

Education and Experience:

A bachelors degree in information management systems or related field with at least Seven years of related experience.

Skills:

Proficiency in Technolutions Slate CRM system is required

Experience in a higher education setting is required.

Excellent prioritization time-management task tracking and completion skills.

Excellent computer skills and ability to learn and adapt quickly to new software.

Excellent verbal and written communication

Remote or hybrid work arrangements may be considered based on departmental needs and candidate qualifications.
