Chemical Operator Operator (Rochester NY) MULTIPLE OPENINGS

Perform chemical operation tasks; blending extracting drying distillations effecting size reductions with capability to perform and become certified in all processes involved in the full product line of the site. The Chemical Operator works a rotational schedule to meet maintain 24-hour operation of the manufacturing processes. This position is located at our Rochester NY plant.
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for safe and efficient operation of assigned process areas such that all regulatory health safety and environmental requirements are satisfied.
- Must acquire a working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and ISO requirements.
- Will handle hazardous chemicals and hazardous waste during the normal operation of this position.
- Constantly striving to improve process knowledge obtain new certifications and maintain existing certifications.
- Informs supervision in a timely manner of conditions which may affect safety quality capacity or cause a process equipment hazard.
- Planning and responding to emergencies that involve hazardous waste.
Qualifications & Experience:
- HS Diploma or GED. Preferred Associates degree.
- 3-5 years experience working in a manufacturing environment. Will consider entry level candidates.
- Chemical manufacturing or chemical experience background highly preferred.
- Familiar and comfortable with computers and hand tools.
- May be required to work overtime as needed.
This position pays between $26.00 to $27.00 an hour this a nonexempt position paid hourly and is dependent upon experience and qualifications. All candidates must be able to work rotating shifts and will receive a shift differential.
