Machine Operator 1st

Shoreline Container Holland

Rate: $20.25

Role Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for all setup and operation of machines in the designated department. Operators may work with computer-controlled equipment or more mechanically based machines.

Schedule:7:00 am- 3:00 pm Monday through Friday with overtime scheduled on Saturday as needed.

What Youll Do:

  • Set up and operation of various machines.
  • Run material through machine according to company specifications.
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Ensure correct materials are used to meet customer specifications.
  • Ensure all inventory entries are complete and accurate.
  • Inspect and maintain quality of product.
  • Responsible for meeting all quality and efficiency standards.
  • Meet all company safety policies and report any concerns related to required maintenance of machines.
  • Test operation of machines periodically.
  • Special projects as business dictates.
  • Duties may be expanded upon and additional duties may be assigned.

  2. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand for an extended number of hours per shift walk bend twist stoop squat and use hands to handle or feel objects tools or controls.
  3. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear.
  4. The employee is required to reach with fingers hands and arms.
  5. Must be able to perform repetitive hand wrist and arm motions.
  6. The employee must regularly lift push or pull and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  7. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • The job is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise dust varying temperatures and moving mechanical parts.
  • Safety gear must be worn as required.



Qualifications

What Youll Need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Machine operator experience preferred; strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions including reading a tape measure blueprints and production schematics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented and self-directed.
  • Dependability
