Hourly Rate: $15.00 (Staff) and $17.00 (Site Supervisor)
Work Location: In-person Based on Site Location
Dates: September 15 2025 May 29 2026
Hours: Varies based on site (no earlier than 3:00 pm and no later than 6:30 pm)
Offer Conditions:
Hiring: Dependent on FBI Background Child Abuse Criminal Background National Sex Offender
Report and Mandated Reporter Training (The organization will reimburse cost of clearances).
Work Schedule: Must be able to work the summer camp dates five days a week.

Neighborhood Learning Alliance Afterschool Program:
The K-5 Little Warriors Afterschool Program is designed to empower students to embrace their
genius establish a sense of community and explore learning activities that enhance their
health and well-being. This is done through active play project-based learning enriched
learning experiences and field trips. The programs are 36 weeks long and operate from
September to June. The NLA Little Warriors Programs focus on six pillars:
1. Whole Child: Ensure students are seen heard supported and safe
2. Skill Development: Reading Math STEAM
3. City as a Campus: Engage students in non-traditional experiences
4. Engagement: Leverage students as innovators and creators
5. Participation: Equitable access to all resources and activities
6. Training: Develop staff to cultivate a diverse and inclusive culture
We are hiring dedicated motivated and creative staff members to join our K-5 after school
team. Our afterschool program provides students and families free after school services and
supports at the students school. Hours vary by after school site. Typical days and hours are
3:15 pm - 6:15 pm or 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm Monday - Friday. We are closed on School Holidays.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure that the mission and core values of the Organization are put into practice
Implement the After School model
Develop students skills and interest in Reading and STEM
Assist with the overall planning and implementation of the daily programming and
activities
Assist with daily procedures and program structures
Manage student attendance and activities
Maintain a clean organized and safe program space
Develop and support childrens academic and social-emotional needs
Attend team meetings as assigned
Perform other duties assigned for which the employee is qualified and physically able to
perform. Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; Some college experience preferred.
Strong communication skills
Good interpersonal skills
Demonstrate professional responsibilities (
Passion to serving the community and ensuring student success
Basic knowledge of using technology (computers iPad tablets projector etc.)
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Comfortable communicating with elementary school students and families
Experience working with diverse populations

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an
employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable
