Responsibilities
The Coordinator of Volunteer Services has the primary responsibility for the daily operation of the Auxiliary Volunteer Services and campus gift shop. The Coordinator has overall responsibility for the planning administration control and quality management of department activities.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
1. Bachelors degree.
2. Minimum five (5) years experience in public relations customer service or
closely related field in an employee or volunteer capacity.
3. Administrative/management/supervisory experience providing ability to:
work well with all types of people;
plan organize direct and control the activities of a department
within and/or across all hospital services;
understand a function or service from the perspective of the
individuals or departments served;
establish and maintain effective working relationship with staff
management physicians and others;
project the future needs of the department;
analyze and evaluate the impact of internal and external change on
department operations
flexibility with people tasks and environment;
communicate well both verbal and written;
maintain membership in professional organizations and attend all
appropriate outside educational meetings/conferences.
