Were looking for a proactive hands-on Senior Technician to join our Product Development (PD) team within the Innovation Center. Youll help develop and improve products and value propositions across diverse application areas with a strong focus on food and nutrition.

About the Team

Based in Gorinchem (NL) the PD team consists of 14 professionals and supports all branches of the company especially in health and nutrition. We focus on innovation prototyping and customer/business support. Youll be part of a sub-team of 5 and report to theManager Product Development.

Your Role

As a Senior Technician youll bring a solid applied technical backgroundideally in chemistry or food scienceand work both independently and in multidisciplinary teams. Youll spend most of your time in the lab collaborating with microbiologists and application experts across fermentation powder technology and sustainability.

Youre customer-focused pragmatic and thrive in a dynamic informal environment. Youre fluent in English (Dutch is a plus) and comfortable juggling multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute lab-based projects and support tasks
• Understand the technical context of experiments
• Contribute to strategic and customer projects as a technical lead or team member
• Collaborate with subject matter experts across disciplines
• Align priorities and escalate when needed
• Build and expand your technical expertise

Your Profile

• Bachelors or Masters degree in (organic) chemistry powder technology or food science
• Hands-on experience with laboratory and pilot techniques such as spray drying spray granulation fluidized bed processing liquid mixing and powder blending
• Several years of experience in a non-routine lab setting
• Passion for food science and innovation
  
• Proficiency in analytical methods including particle size distribution and physical and chemical shelf-life stability testing
• Strong project management skills or interest in developing them
• Skilled in experimental design and cross-functional alignment
• Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus
• Business- and customer-oriented mindset
• Enjoy working in a vibrant informal environment
• You are able and willing to commute to Gorinchem (NL) on a daily basis
