Job Summary
The PROPWR Controller reports directly to President of ProPetro Energy Solutions and indirectly reports to Chief Accounting Officer. This person is responsible for overseeing all accounting financial reporting and internal control activities related to the power/energy business unit. This role ensures accurate financial records compliance with regulatory and accounting standards and provides financial leadership to support operational and strategic decision-making within the power segment.
Responsibilities
Partner with PROPWR management to become a trusted resource to support segment strategy and provide timely and insightful financial information to management to optimize financial results
Ensure accurate accounting record maintenance by reviewing monthly transactions accounting close processes and analyzing monthly operating results including preparing materials for profitability meetings
Collaborate with corporate shared services business assurance (SOX internal audit etc.) and business advisory services to ensure efficient and compliant business processes within the Power segment
Prepare work papers that support the monthly closing process and end-of-month balances
Lead budgeting forecasting and variance analysis for the business segment
Collaborate with Finance Team to review monthly forecasts including relevant assumptions
Document and maintain adequate and effective internal controls and ensure compliance with all applicable company policies and procedures laws rules and regulations
Maintain compliance with applicable state local and property tax regulations; monitor changes in tax laws and assess financial impact
Assist in the hiring of assigned personnel (i.e. collaborate with Human Resources recruiters perform interviews select qualified talent etc.)
Maintain compliance with Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) by attending all required HSE training sessions safety meetings and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Job Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field required
CPA CMA or equivalent professional certification preferred
7 years of progressive accounting experience including leadership roles preferred
Strong experience in both private and public accounting sectors preferred
Strong knowledge of financial reporting internal controls and audit processes
Good written and verbal communication skills can effectively interact with personnel at all levels of the organization
Excellent time management skills able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
Organized with strong attention to detail
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Advanced accounting software and database skills
Proficient working in Microsoft Office 365 applications and able to quickly learn other work-related software
