Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Medical/Surgical
Location: Brooklyn NY
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week
Shift: Night Shift 8:00 PM 8:30 AM
Hourly Rate: $71.67
Weekly Gross Pay: $2687.63
Weekly Stipend: $1750.13
Position Overview
A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive patient care across a variety of medical and post-surgical conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment hands-on nursing skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to patients with diverse medical and surgical diagnoses
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs
Administer medications IV therapy and treatments as ordered
Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy procedures
Deliver wound care and post-operative nursing interventions
Monitor patient responses to treatment and report changes in condition
Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Educate patients and families on treatment plans recovery and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinical standards
Ensure compliance with safety protocols policies and evidence-based nursing practices
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience
Strong assessment critical thinking and communication skills
Education & Licensure
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
BLS certification required (ACLS preferred based on unit needs)
