Job Duties
The Direct Service Associate III is directly accountable to the LPN RN I RN II and RN MGR I for the provision of direct care to mentally ill patients on an assigned unit in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the Eastern State Hospital Department of Nursing and the Hospitals mission goals and objectives.
This position is assigned to the Evening Shift. Employees may select Shift A or Shift B. Each option consists of a combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts per week with a requirement to work rotational weekends and holidays as outlined below.
Shift A:
Two (2) 8-hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
Two (2) 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Shift B:
Two (2) 8-hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
Two (2) 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Shift assignments may vary within the selected shift option based on operational needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid drivers license or must be able to obtain within 60 days of employment.
Additional Considerations
Experience working directly with individuals with challenging mental health and behavior issues in a public residential or psychiatric hospital is preferred.
