Qualitative Insights Researcher (2 year fixed-term contract)

As a Qualitative Insights Researcher you will play a key role in strengthening our understanding of local communities and ensuring their voices shape the way we deliver services. Improving health and wellbeing and reducing inequalities are major priorities for us and this role will help drive meaningful change across the system.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to design and deliver qualitative research and community insight projects that inform behaviour change programmes and improve outcomes for residents. Working within Public Health and alongside colleagues in Adult Social Care you will gather and analyse qualitative data lead engagement activities and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

You will work closely with colleagues across the Public Health team including knowledge intelligence and research colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure insight is embedded into decision-making. By providing dedicated expertise you will help foster collaboration share best practice and support innovative approaches to prevention and service improvement.

About the Candidate:

We are looking for a creative and forward-thinking professional with strong qualitative research skills and experience. You will have excellent communication and relationship management skills and be confident in designing and delivering insight projects that influence policy and practice. The ability to work collaboratively across teams and organisations and to present findings in an accessible and impactful way is essential.

You should be educated to degree level (or have equivalent experience) and have formal training in qualitative research methods. Experience of mixed-methods research community engagement and working in a public sector context would be an advantage.
